Why does my dog have to do an interview
before coming to your facility?
We are a “cage free” facility which
means dogs are required to interact with other dogs at all
times. It is our goal to create a harmonious environment for
all, so an initial introduction is needed to ensure a good
fit.
What vaccinations are required?
All dogs must have up to date DHLPP (or equivalent), Rabies
and Bordetella
Will my dog be crated at night?
As a rule we do not crate dogs, however if the pet parent
feels their dog will be more comfortable in a crate then we
will be more than happy to oblige.
How late are you open?
We are Staffed 24 hours a day but our normal business hours
are Monday-Friday 6:30am-7pm Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 1pm-5pm.
Why can I pick up my dog 24 hours a day but not drop
off?
Being a cage free facility we must keep a close watch on
the pack hierarchy, introducing a new dog into the pack safely
can be disruptive so we prefer to do this during our traditional
open hours.
Can I bring my own dog food?
We prefer that you DO bring your dogs food so they will not
have any diet change while you are away. If your dog is not
spending the night and is only doing daycare we suggest you
feed your dog before and after daycare. Snacks will be provided
unless your dog is on a special diet.
Can I bring my dogs bed and toys?
We provide toys and beds and if you bring your dogs favorite
items here it is likely they will be destroyed by the other
guests. It is also likely that your dog will not want to share
their toys or bed with others and this may bring up guarding
issues that can be avoided simply by leaving their prized
possessions at home.
How far in advance do I need to make reservations?
We recommend 7 days advance notice and 21 days advance for
holidays. You may call at anytime to see if we have cancellations,
even the same day and we will accommodate you if possible.
What happens if my dog becomes ill or injured?
Our staff keeps current on pet first aid with the American
red cross and will be able to assess the situation and administer
first aid as needed. We will make every attempt to contact
you with all available contact numbers and if we are unable
to reach you we will contact the emergency contact number
listed in your file. If the situation is an emergency we will
immediately go to a veterinarian for the health and safety
of your dog.
Who is responsible for the payment of any injury or
illness?
You are, we take every precaution to make sure all dogs are
safe and secure including requiring updated vaccinations,
interviewing all dogs for behavior and constant monitoring.
However, accidents from group play or group interactions may
come up. If your dog inflicts the injury we encourage you
to take responsibility for the injuries of the other dog also
as a show of a responsible dog owner.
If I suspect my dog is ill should I still bring him/her
to daycare?
No, for the health, safety and well being of the entire group
any signs of sneezing, coughing, unknown rashes or oozing
or leaking sores should be tended to by a licensed veterinarian
prior to your dog joining the group. If a dog shows any of
these signs while at Cha Cha’s we will remove them until
they have a health certification.
Does anyone stay overnight with my dog?
Yes we have 24 hour staffing to help monitor your kids and
ensure their safety and a good time.
