Therapy Dog Workshop
Plunge into the world of Therapy Dog Training in this all day workshop! Our workshop is based on the Delta Society therapy dog certification, read more about it here . The workshop will cover what it means to be a therapy dog, the basic testing criteria, explanation and examples of therapy dog test exercises plus practice with your own dog, training for the exercises, problem solving, and more! Make sure you get a spot in our next workshop and get ready for a day of hard work and fun! Requirements :
All dogs must be friendly and non–aggressive towards humans or animals, current on vaccines, at least one year of age, and all dogs must have some basic obedience.  Some examples of what we are looking for as far as having basic obedience is that your dog will sit, down, come when called, and not pull on leash. If your dog understands these concepts but has trouble focusing around distractions we can help you through this. We do want your focus to be working on the Therapy Dog exercises, if you have questions about whether your dog is appropriately behaved for this workshop please contact me .
